01 [Initiation Phase]

Inquiry

Our work starts with a conversation with school leadership to identify the issues they want to address with Thrive. We have encountered problem statements as varied as discipline issues like bullying to a lack of sense of community in the school.

To fully define the needs and objectives of the program, inputs gathered the school are combined with the latest research on developmental needs of the target age group as well as learning from previous programs

02 [Planning Phase]

Curriculum Outline

Next, we design a curriculum outline. The outline identifies the elements needed to meet the identified program requirements.. Thrive focus areas specific for the client we are working with. 

A set of learning objectives are defined for each focus area, along with the timing and modality of the associated interventions

03 [Planning Phase]

Content & Sequencing

Many of the skills we work on are lifelong pursuits! For instance, Self Regulation. So, while the needs identified for different grades may be the same, care is required to make the content age-appropriate. We meticulously plan our programs so that the content presents an appropriate level of challenge to the participants

04 [Execution Phase]

Crafting An Impactful Experience

Our brains are wired to recall (and judge) experiences by the most intense moments in a journey. While there's a lot that makes up an Entendido experience, a "recall" is critical for us as it created a memory hook (that can be revisited later). Thrive, therefore, consists of a mix of high-energy activities that generate strong emotions (elation, frustration & more) coupled with high-cognition exercises that focus on inventorying the experience and creating a "mind map" of emotions and behaviors for later recall.

05 [Execution Phase]

Bridging The Divide Between 'Now' & 'Then'

High energy, thrill centered experience like hiking, climbing and rafting (the NOW) are just a medium for us. The central thrust of our programs is transference and applicability in everyday and situations (the THEN).  To aid this process, we leverage our design toolkit which comprises of workbooks, reflection journals etc.  These belong to the participants after the program

The Finale - Feedback & More 

We are constantly looking to make our experiences better. Exciting and yet learning focused. Accessible yet diverse. As part of our process to gather a 360 degree feedback, we are happy to share brief reports showcasing the content covered in Thrive sessions to the school leadership and, at times, even parents. We also gather feedback from participants and share it transparently.
